This album was inspired by the works of the great Franz Schubert. Initially I wanted to call it something along the lines of “Schubertiade” but as the composition process progressed, I noticed that I was increasingly composing in the vein of other composers as well and in the end more and more like myself. Still, one of the waltzes is titled “Schubert”. No wonder it is one of the finest on the album. We stand on the shoulders of giants!
