Who can take piano lessons?
- Young and old
- Children from 8 years old
- Knowing how to read notes is not necessary
- It is helpful if you have an instrument at home to practice
What will be covered during the lessons?
Depending on your level, we will cover all aspects of technique and interpretation. You can always let me know if you have special requests.
Where do the lessons take place?
- At my home in Amsterdam Zuidoost on an authentic Steinway grand piano
How much does it cost?
- A lesson lasts one hour and costs €60 (shorter lessons can be arranged for young children, contact me for details)
- Recommended frequency: once a week
- Discount with a “strip card” is possible: 1% discount per extra prepaid lesson, up to a maximum of 25%. Calculation examples:
- 10 prepaid lessons = 10% discount per lesson → 10 x €54 = €540
- 20 prepaid lessons = 20% discount per lesson → 20 x €48 = €960
- 25 prepaid lessons = 25% discount per lesson → 25 x €45 = €1125
- All prices include VAT
- A strip card must be paid in advance, a single lesson can also be paid in cash
Trial lesson
Would you like to try a trial lesson? That’s possible. A trial lesson also lasts one hour, but is offered at half the price.
Cancellations – at least 24 hours in advance
The lesson time we agree upon is reserved for you. This means I cannot schedule someone else at that time. However, if you need to cancel and reschedule for a reasonable reason, please inform me at least 24 hours in advance. For later cancellations, the lesson will be charged. If you have prepaid with a strip card, a lesson will be deducted.
No-show for a lesson
If you do not attend a lesson without cancellation or are not home, the lesson will still be charged. If prepaid with a strip card, a lesson will be deducted. An exception is made in cases of force majeure, such as sudden illness or family circumstances.
Arriving late to a lesson
If you arrive late, we will continue until the originally planned end time. Your lesson will be shorter.
Mid-term cancellation of a module or strip card
If you have purchased a module or strip card and decide to stop lessons, the remaining lessons will not be refunded. An exception is made in cases of clear force majeure where it is unreasonable to expect the student to continue lessons. In such cases, a recalculation will be done as if the completed lessons were taken at the single lesson rate (without discount).
